There are close and complex relations between productivity, product quality and labour wages in the evolution of production. These relations depend on the materials, machine and human factors. In this article,a brief mention is made of the productivity of capital, and making an analytical approach to machine productivity various productivity definitions are standardized; methods developed for the messurement of productivity are introduced. The wage incentive schemes are later explained, which are used as means of increasing productivity. Some consideration is given to the group piece rate system which is applied in the treatment of non-standard machine sets. Finally the theoretical bases of the statistical quality control are explained; the relations between quality and productivity are mentioned; a case study demonstrating the application of group control cards in cases where the number of machines in the group is variable, is reported.
