BAŞKENT DEĞİŞİKLİKLERİ VE NEDENLERİ: DÜNYA ÖRNEKLERİ ÜZERİNDEN DERİNLEMESİNE BİR İNCELEME

Abstract

Başkentler, bir ülkenin siyasi ve idari merkezleri olarak kritik bir rol oynar ve bu statüleri aracılığıyla ülke üzerinde derin bir etki yaratırlar. Bu makale, başkentlerin genel tanımını, özelliklerini ve tarihsel çeşitliliğini inceleyerek dünya çapında örnekler sunmakta ve başkentlerin kurulma ve taşınma süreçlerini, bu değişimlerin arkasındaki motivasyonları ve ulusal kimlik üzerindeki etkilerini araştırmaktadır. Makale, başkent değişikliklerinin nedenlerini yedi ana başlık altında kategorize etmektedir: 1) Güçlü Siyasi İrade Yansıması, 2) Ulusal Birlik ve Kimlik Oluşumu, 3) Modernleşme Aracı Olarak Başkent Taşınması, 4) Bölgesel Gelişme, 5) Nüfus Yoğunluğu ve Kentsel Sorunlar, 6) Güvenlik ve Sosyal Kontrol ve 7) Risk Yönetimi. Modernleşme, sanayileşme ve küreselleşmenin başkentler üzerindeki etkilerinin de ele alındığı bu çalışma, her kategori için çeşitli ülkelerden vaka çalışmalarını içermekte ve başkent değişikliklerinin karmaşık dinamiklerini kapsamlı bir şekilde tartışmayı amaçlamaktadır

CAPITAL RELOCATIONS AND CAUSES: A COMPREHENSIVE EXAMINATION THROUGH GLOBAL EXAMPLES

Abstract

Capital cities play a critical role as the political and administrative centers of a country, and their status creates a profound impact on the nation. This article examines the general definition, characteristics, and historical diversity of capitals, presenting examples from around the world. It investigates the processes of establishing and relocating capitals, the motivations behind these changes, and their effects on national identity. The article categorizes the reasons for capital changes under seven main headings: 1) Reflection of Strong Political Will, 2) Formation of National Unity and Identity, 3) Relocation of Capital cities as a Tool for Modernization, 4) Regional Development, 5) Population Density and Urban Issues, 6) Security and Social Control, and 7) Risk Management. Additionally, the effects of modernization, industrialization, and globalization on capitals are addressed. This study includes case studies from various countries for each category and aims to comprehensively analyze the complex dynamics of capital changes.
