Dear Author(s),
As is known, the TR Index Journal Evaluation Criteria were updated for implementation in 2020, with particular emphasis on the requirements concerning ethics committee approval for scientific research. The items related to ethics committee approval, outlined under the heading of ethical guidelines, have been elaborated in detail. The documentation and information required for studies necessitating ethics committee approval will be mandatory for publications initiated in 2020 and thereafter. It is not permissible to publish articles that, by their nature, require ethics committee approval without obtaining such approval.
Within the framework of ethical guidelines, the types of research requiring ethics committee approval for evaluation in the Journal of Society, Economy and Management (TEYD) are as follows:
- All types of research conducted using qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from participants through surveys, interviews, focus group studies, observations, experiments, or other communication techniques,
- Research involving the use of humans and animals (including materials/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes,
- Clinical studies conducted on humans,
- Studies conducted on animals,
- Retrospective studies conducted in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law.
Within this framework, studies to be considered for evaluation in our journal must;
- State that an “Informed Consent Form” has been obtained for case reports,
- Obtain and indicate permission from the owners for the use of scales, questionnaires, photographs, or any other materials belonging to others,
- Specify compliance with copyright regulations for the use of intellectual and artistic works.
Additionally:
- In articles to be published in journals, it must be clearly stated whether ethics committee approval and/or legal/special permission is required. If such permission is required, it should be explicitly indicated from which institution it was obtained, along with the date, and the decision or document number.
- If the study involves the use of human or animal subjects, it must be declared that the research was conducted in accordance with international declarations, guidelines, etc.
- When submitting your manuscript to our journal, you are required to upload the Ethics Committee Approval document along with your article file. If your study does not fall under the category requiring ethics committee approval, you must sign a declaration form stating this and clearly indicate this status within the manuscript text.
To access the declaration form stating that the study does not require Ethics Committee Approval, please CLICK HERE.
- For studies requiring ethics committee approval, details regarding the approval (name of the committee, date, and reference number) must be included in the methodology section as well as on the first and/or last page of the manuscript.
- In case reports, information confirming that an informed consent form has been signed by the volunteer must be explicitly stated in the article.
