Manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Turkish Legal History may be written in either Turkish or English. Submissions must present original research and must not have been published previously or be under consideration by another publication.
Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format and must include a title, abstracts in both Turkish and English (150–250 words each), and at least five keywords.
Authors are required to use the journal's manuscript template and comply with its citation style and formatting requirements. References and footnotes must be complete and consistent, and all sources cited in the text must be properly referenced.
References to archival documents, manuscripts, and other historical sources must include sufficient and verifiable information regarding the manuscript copy, archival collection, register, file, or document identification. Documentary editions and translations must be prepared in accordance with accepted scholarly standards.
All submissions are subject to an initial editorial review. Manuscripts that fail to comply with the journal's formatting requirements or contain incomplete information may be returned to the author for revision before entering the peer-review process.
At the time of submission, authors must upload their ORCIDs, institutional affiliations, ethics statement, conflict of interest declaration, and signed copyright form through the journal's online submission system.
