Articles submitted to the journal for publication must be prepared with journal's own LaTeX template. The package contains all necessary information as well as a sample article which can be filled by copy-pasting from your own work text:
Manuscripts can be written in English (preferred) or Turkish. However, in either case authors should provide meta-data (title, abstract) in both languages and key words in English.
Three forms have to be submitted along the full text manuscript: Copyright Transfer Form, Conflict of Interest Form, Author Contribution Form.
The following article types can be submitted to TJAA:
Type | Description |
Editorial | This type is special to TJAA Boards which is used for publishing news and announcements about the journal. |
Research Article | Use this type for detailed studies reporting original research. They include hypothesis, background study, methods, results, interpretation of findings, and a discussion of possible implications. |
Review Article | Review articles provide critical and constructive analysis of existing published literature in a field. They’re usually structured to provide a summary of existing literature, analysis, and comparison. Often, they identify specific gaps or problems and provide recommendations for future research. |
Research Note | Use this type for sharing works in progress, comments and clarifications, null results, and timely reports of observations (such as the spectrum of a supernova), as well as results that wouldn’t traditionally merit a full paper (such as contributions to the monitoring of variable sources, eclipse and transit timing etc.). |
Dissertation | Summary of completed graduate studies (M.Sc. and Ph.D.). |
Conference Paper | Use this type for works which are presented in a national or international conference, symposia, workshop etc. |
Meeting Abstract | Abstract of a Conference Paper. |
Correction | A Correction notice will be issued when it is necessary to correct an error or omission which can impact the interpretation of the article. Examples include mislabeling of a figure, missing key information on funding or competing interests of the authors. |
TJAA is a publication of Turkish Astronomical Society (TAD).
