Çayır Salkım Otu (Poa pratensis L.) Tohumlarının Çimlenmesi Üzerine Farklı Tuz Uygulamalarının Etkilerinin Belirlenmesi

Year 2020, Volume: 2 Issue: 1, 23 - 26, 25.06.2020

Abstract

Determination of Effects of Different Salt Concentrations on The Germination and Seedling Development of Kentucky Bluegrass (Poa pratensis L.) Seeds

Year 2020, Volume: 2 Issue: 1, 23 - 26, 25.06.2020

Abstract

This research was conducted to investigate the effects of five different salt concentrations (0, 5, 10, 15 ve 20 dS m-1 NaCl) on the germination and seedling development of Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis L.) at the Field Crops Department Laboratory in Agricultural Faculty of Isparta University of Applied Science in 2018. The research was set up in randomized block design with four replications. The germination rate, shoot and root lengths and fresh weights and salt tolerance index were determined in this research. According to the results of the research, salt concentrations had significant effect at the level of 1% on all properties. Increased salt concentrations caused decreases on the germination rate, shoot and root lengths and fresh weights and salt tolerance index. While the highest parameters were obtained from the control, the lowest values were obtained from 20 dS m-1 NaCl..
