The Journal of Social Science

The Journal of Social Science (TJSS) established in 2017. It is a blind, peer-reviewed journal that is available to anyone interested in research related to social sciences. The Journal of Social Science (TJSS) aims to provide a highly readable and valuable addition to the literature which will serve as an indispensable reference tool for years to come. 

The coverage of the journal includes all new theoretical and experimental findings in the fields of Social Science or any closely related fields. The journal also encourages the submission of critical review articles covering advances in recent research of such fields as well as technical notes.

The articles can be written in English or Turkish languages.

All parts of the work should be in "Times New Roman" font and "12 point size" except Abstract. Posts are 1 line spacing, paragraph spacing before a single paragraph (6 nk), after (0 nk) margins are 2,5 cm from each side.

The articles to be prepared in English should generally be prepared in bold "11 pt" in the form of "Abstract", "Introduction", "Subparts", "Conclusion" and "References".

The title "Times New Roman" font should be written in the size of "12 points", in bold, center and 1 line.

In the submitted article, the names of the authors should be written on the right under the heading "11 pt" and the other information should be written in footnotes below the first page (title, institution, e-mail)

When the article is in English, only the English abstract should be included (Turkish summary are not required in English articles). The length of the summary should be at least 100 and no more than 250 words. The abstract font should be "11 point size" and 1 line spacing. The abstract should include the purpose, methodology, major findings and general conclusion of the study. The abstract should be written after the title and the name of the author/authors. "Key Words" should be included in a line below the summary.

Ethical Principles
The author(s) warrant that the manuscript submitted is his/her/their own original research.
All participating authors in this work take public responsibility and have approved that the manuscript has not been sent to any other journal for publication.
The review process cannot begin in case of failure or missing any of the requirements mentioned in this journal.
The submitter must provide and maintain all requirements during the evaluation process.
It should be made sure that other individuals shown as co-authors have contributed to the research. It is contrary to the scientific ethics to add some, who are not academic contributors to the article, as co-authors or to put in order co-authors with non-academic criteria such as title, age, and gender regardless of the order of contribution.
It is assumed that authors who submit articles to the journal read and accept the publishing and writing principles of the journal and the writers are deemed to have committed themselves to these principles.
Citations and bibliography should be complete and realistic.
The author commits all conditions by sending the manuscript.
All matter included in the manuscript does not violate any existing copyright rules and any intellectual property rights of any person or entity.
The manuscript meets ethical standards applicable to the research discipline.
All peer-review publications will be refereed in the double-blind review process by at least two reviewers.
Authors and editors should take into account the criteria of the Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive specified by the Higher Education Council and Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Plagiarism Policy
During the review process, we use iThenticate plagiarism software.
About plagiarism, we act based on flow charts and workflows determined in COPE.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content, on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Publication Principles
The Journal of Social Science is an open-accessed academic double-blind peer-reviewed journal that is published twice a year. The issues are published in February and September.
The Journal of Social Science accepts not only all studies in the areas of management sciences but also studies in different disciplines related to management.
The papers sent to the journal must be original, which were not published or sent for publishing elsewhere.
It is assumed that the papers sent to the journal were subjected to final control and are ready to be published. Therefore, those papers which suffer from grammatical errors are not evaluated.
The papers which were subjected to preliminary/formal examination by the editors are sent to the Editorial Board for evaluation. The papers examined by the Editorial Board are sent to min. 2 anonymous referees; Completed or corrected papers can again be sent to the referee by Editorial Board.
“Form of ethical liability declaration” must be filled by the author(s) of accepted papers and sent to the editors.
Manuscripts that are not original, are not copyrighted, and are considered to be in violation of various ethical principles are not subject to the referee evaluation process and are rejected.
Original articles that are sent to The Journal of Social Science to be published are peer-reviewed by two referees after being reviewed by the editorial board, and as reviewers accept articles, they are published. If one of the referees rejects the article, it is sent to the third referee. It is decided to publish the article, request some corrections, or not publish the article based on the reports of these referees. The author is informed of the decision in the shortest time and through e-mail.
This journal provides immediate open access on the principle that making it constant.
All legal responsibility of the articles belongs to The Journal of Social Science.
All responsibility related to the contents of the articles in this journal belongs to the authors.
The journal uses ithenticate plagiarism program. Whether articles have plagiarism or not is evaluated by referees, if detected, the peer-review process is suspended.

Fee Policy

The journal charges fee for each article and the cost is requested prior to peer review.

Yükseköğretim Kurulu’nun 07.03.2019 tarihli Genel Kurulunda alınan karar gereği, makale başvurusu sırasında -kabul/red şartına bağlı olmaksızın- ücret alan dergilerin Doçentlik başvurularında kullanılabileceği belirtilmiştir.
Bu kapsamda dergiye gönderilen makalelerin değerlendirme sürecinin başlatılabilmesi için dijital baskı ve dizgi işlemleri kapsamında 500 TL katılım bedeli talep edilecektir. Bu bedel makalenin kabul/red şartına bağlı olmaksızın talep edilecektir. Bu bedel talep edilmeden önce gönderilen tüm makaleler alan editörü tarafından ön incelemeye alınacak, inceleme sonucu değerlendirme raporu yazarla en geç 1 hafta içinde paylaşılacaktır. Ön değerlendirmede makalenin sunumu, derginin yayın ilkelerine ve yazım kurallarına uygunluğu, alıntılama oranı ve referans bölümü incelenecektir. Ön değerleme aşamasını geçen makalelerden “makale katkı bedeli” talep edilmekte ve sonrasında makale hakem değerlendirme sürecine alınacaktır.
