Artificial Intelligence Policy

Ethical Principles Regarding the Use of Artificial Intelligence
Our journal supports the ethical, transparent, and responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in scientific research and publication processes. However, AI tools cannot replace human responsibility at any stage of the scientific research or publication process. All AI applications used by authors, editors, and reviewers must be conducted in accordance with the principles of scientific integrity, confidentiality, transparency, and accountability.

Basic Principles
• Artificial intelligence tools cannot be used as decision-makers in place of authors, editors, or reviewers.
• Artificial intelligence systems cannot be listed as authors.
• When the use of artificial intelligence affects the content of a scientific study, this must be transparently disclosed.
• Content, data, analyses, or visuals generated by artificial intelligence must be reviewed.
• Confidential, personal, or unpublished data should not be uploaded to artificial intelligence systems.
• The use of artificial intelligence must comply with research ethics, publication ethics, and data protection regulations.

Authors’ Responsibilities
• Authors must clearly disclose the use of artificial intelligence in their articles.
• Authors must verify the accuracy of content generated by artificial intelligence.
• Authors must not list artificial intelligence tools as authors.
• Authors must not use artificial intelligence to generate fake data, fake sources, or manipulated visuals.
• Authors must not upload confidential or personal data to artificial intelligence systems.

Reviewers’ Responsibilities
• They must not upload submitted articles and their attachments to AI systems for evaluation.
• They must maintain the confidentiality of the peer review process.
• They must conduct scientific evaluation based on their own expertise and must not use AI as a decision-maker.

Editors’ Responsibilities
• Editorial decisions must be made solely based on scientific criteria.
• Articles, reviewer reports, and other confidential documents must not be shared with artificial intelligence systems.
• In cases of suspected ethical violations related to the use of artificial intelligence, they must conduct the necessary investigations.
