The Supervision Opportunities for Practicum Students of School Counseling Provided to Trainees in Turkish Universities: A National Survey

Abstract

The supervision opportunities for practicum students of school counseling provided to trainees in Turkish universities: a national survey. In this study, a national survey was conducted to identify the practice opportunities provided by the psychological counseling and guidance program in Turkish universities. These opportunities were analyzed regarding the duration practice hours and supervision (structure and feedback). According to the results; a great number of students do not receive individual or group supervision for an adequate duration or on a regular basis, and group supervisions are usually conducted in a large groups and supervised by novice supervisors. The suggestions for further research are discussed.

Okullarda Psikolojik Danışma ve Rehberlik Uygulamaları ve Öğrencilere Sağlanan Süpervizyon Olanakları:Ulusal Bir Tarama Çalışması

Abstract

Bu araştırmada Türkiye’deki üniversitelerde psikolojik danışma ve rehberlik eğitimi alan öğrencilerin okullarda yaptıkları uygulamalarda sağlanan olanaklar, uygulama süresi ve süpervizyon (yapı ve geribildirim) çalışmaları bakımından incelenmiştir. Bulgular, okullarda yapılan uygulamalar için önemli bir orandaki öğrencinin yeterli sürede ve düzenli biçimde bireysel ya da grup süpervizyonu alamadığını, grup süpervizyonlarının deneyimsiz öğretim elemanları tarafından sunulduğunu ve kalabalık öğrenci gruplarıyla yapıldığını göstermiştir. Bulgular tartışılmış ve gelecekteki araştırmalar için öneriler sunulmuştur.
