Civil Formation of Social Services- A Research on Migrants’ Non-Governmental Organizations in Berlin

Abstract

This study tries to understand how managerialism, which constitutes the ideological framework of the transformation of social services in line with the neo-liberal consensus, shapes the activities of the migrant NGO’s and thus the formation of the migrant identity, and proposes the possibility of a class analysis in order for both social services and migration study to understand migrant practices, and for the real integration of both the locals and migrants.

Sosyal Hizmetlerin Sivil Oluşumu- Berlin’deki Göçmen Sivil Toplum Örgütleri Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Abstract

Bu çalışma; neo-liberalizmin bir uzantısı olarak sosyal hizmetlerdeki dönüşümün ideolojik çerçevesini oluşturan yönetselliğin göçmen sivil toplum örgütlerinin etkinliklerini ve dolayısıyla göçmen kimliğinin oluşumunu şekillendirmede nasıl bir etkide bulunduğunu anlamaya çalışmakta ve hem sosyal hizmetlerin hem göç çalışmasının göçmen pratiklerini gerçekten anlayabilmesi ve yerleşiklerle göçmenlerin biraradalığının mümkün olabilmesi için sınıfsal çözümleme olasılığını tartışmaya açmaktır.
