Discussions that the history writing cannot be objective go back to beginning of the th century. These discussions have come to a peak in 1990s, positivist methods have been rejected in many countries. Since its subject is the human, the idea to evaluate history and historical texts written by humans according to human psychology is now accepted by many academicians. In order to realize this, it is necessary that interdisciplinary studies should be generalized. Associate Professor İsmail Gezgin from Ege University has prepared his work, Herodotus in the Mirror, within the framework of above ideas. In this work, Gezgin has tried to identify the processes that Herodotus had gone through and used some theories and methods of social psychology, environmental psychology and community psychology while doing that. In this article, mentioned book by Gezgin is analysed.
Bu makalede Gezgin'in bahsi geçen kitabı incelenmiştir.
