The number of researches on analyzing sophisticated social, economic, cultural and psychological relations amongst people in the past and trying to understand by reconstructing them with the help of archival sources are still limited in Ottoman social history. In this article, it is going to be questioned whether the documents in qadi registers can be evaluated by implementing social network analysis or not. The main purpose of this study is to exemplify where, how and in what ways the people related to each other. Initially, I will introduce SNA, how it is employed in different fields and reviewing works of Ottoman historians. Then, the different kind of documents such as testimony, proxy, suretyship and indicating lender-deptor relations in selected registers will be processed by SNA. Finally, the findings will be evaluated and discussed the limits of method.
