The Mevlevi Order that founded after death of Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi was active in Anatolia, Balkans and was dominated in region of Ottoman Empire. İn tekke and dergah called as Mevlevi Lodge (mevlevihane) it did very important service for development of Turkish cultural life. Besides being places where conventional sufistic life is performed, mevlevihanes functioned as educational institutions in various fields. Owing to the fact that most of Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi’s Works are Persian, mevlevihanes both in Istanbul and in different regions became the centres of Persian Language Education. Furthermore, the libraries in some mevlevihanes functioned as pioneering force to carry out educational facilities effectively. The use of Turkish traditional music in Mevlevi conversations enabled mevlevihanes’ becoming institutions of art education. This study aims to present the role of Mevlevi Orders and Mevlevihanes in the History of Turkish Education by means of the information explained above
Mevlânâ’nın ölümünden sonra kurulan Mevlevilik tarikatı Anadolu’da, Balkanlar’da ve Osmanlı Devleti’nin hakim olduğu diğer bölgelerde faaliyet göstermiş, mevlevîhane adı verilen tekke ve dergâhlarında Türk kültür hayatının şekillenmesinde oldukça önemli vazifeler ifa etmiştir. Mevlevîhaneler klasik tasavvufi yaşamın sergilendiği alanlar olmasının yanı sıra içerisinde çeşitli alanlarda eğitim verilen birer eğitim kurumu işlevi de görmüştür. Özellikle Mevlânâ Celaleddîn Rumi’nin eserlerinin çoğunluğunun Farsça olması nedeniyle gerek İstanbul’da bulunan mevlevîhaneler gerekse diğer bölgelerde bulunan mevlevîhaneler birer Farsça eğitim merkezi olmuştur. Bazı mevlevîhanelerde bulunan kütüphaneler ise eğitim faaliyetlerinin sağlıklı bir şekilde gerçekleştirilmesinde itici güç oluşturmuştur. Mevlevî mukabelesinde mûsikinin kullanılması ise mevlevîhanelerin sanat eğitimi verilen mekanlar haline gelmesine de vesile olmuştur.
Hazırlamış olduğumuz çalışmamızda yukarıda vermiş olduğumuz bilgiler çerçevesinde Mevlevîliğin ve mevlevîhanelerin Türk Eğitim Tarihi içerisindeki yeri ortaya konulmaya çalışılacaktır.

In accordance with the ULAKBİM decision of 25 February 2020, Ethics Committee Approval must be obtained for studies on people (without age restrictions), this approval must be specified in the Method section of the article and signed Ethics Committee Approval must be uploaded to the system. Applications that do not meet these requirements will not be considered for publication.
4- New Publication Policy
Beginning from Spring 2021 issue TUHED will require all Turkish manuscripts to contain a full-text English translation. Manuscripts submitted in Turkish will be requested to have full-text English translation if they are accepted for publication after the review process.
