The purpose of the present research is to reveal in which areas decisions were taken in the teachers’ board meetings in Trabzon High School between 1934-1971 years and to examine and evaluate the decisions. The research was prepared in accordance with the document analysis method, one of the qualitative research designs. In the study, the minutes of the teachers’ board meetings held between 1934-1971 years of Trabzon High School, which was established in 1885 and is one of the oldest high schools in our country, was discussed. The research was limited between the years 1934-1971, as the minutes of the teachers’ board meetings after 1971 could not be reached regularly. The data obtained from the research were analyzed by content analysis technique. These data were brought together within the framework of certain concepts and themes, organized in an understandable way, and interpreted in tables. As a result of the research, problems related to teachers, out-of-school education, discipline problems, training of teachers, educational tools, general education problems, how to conduct exams, and physical facilities of the school were determined in the meeting minutes of the teachers' board.
Bu araştırmanın amacı, 1934-1971 yılları arasında Trabzon Lisesi’nde öğretmenler kurulu toplantılarında hangi alanlarda kararlar alındığını ortaya koymak ve kararları inceleyip değerlendirmektir. Araştırma, nitel araştırma desenlerinden doküman inceleme yöntemi doğrultusunda hazırlanmıştır. Araştırmada, 1885 yılında kurulan ve ülkemizin en eski liselerinden biri olan Trabzon Lisesi’nin 1934-1971 yılları arası yapılan öğretmenler kurulu toplantı tutanakları ele alınmıştır. 1971 yılı sonrasındaki öğretmenler kurulu toplantı tutanaklarına düzenli olarak ulaşılamadığı için, araştırma 1934-1971 yılları arasında sınırlı tutulmuştur. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler içerik analizi tekniği ile analiz edilmiştir. Bu veriler belirli kavramlar ve temalar çerçevesinde bir araya getirilmiş, anlaşılır biçimde organize edilip tablolar halinde sunularak yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, öğretmenler kurulu toplantı tutanaklarına öğretmenler ile ilgili sorunların, okul dışı eğitim, disiplin sorunları, öğretmenlerin yetiştirilmesi, eğitim araçları, genel eğitim sorunları, sınavların nasıl yapılacağı ve okulun fiziki olanakları ile ilgili sorunlar belirlenmiştir.
