Abstract

Akıllı müzeler, ziyaretçilerin akıllı cihazları kullanarak müze içeriğine erişebildiği ve müze etkinliklerine her yerden katılabildiği ortamlardır. Akıllı müzelerde yaşanan dijital dönüşüm, kültürel mirası daha etkileşimli ve erişilebilir hale getirerek ziyaretçi deneyiminin zenginleşmesine katkıda bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, akıllı müze konusunda yayınlanmış çalışmaların bibliyometrik analizini yapmaktır. Web of Science (WoS) veri tabanında “smart museum” anahtar kelimesi kullanılarak yayınlanan çalışmalar 28.01.2025 tarihinde taranmıştır.

Abstract

Smart museums are environments where visitors can access museum content and participate in museum activities from anywhere using smart devices. The digital transformation occurring in smart museums contributes to enhancing the visitor experience by making cultural heritage more interactive and accessible. The aim of this study is to conduct a bibliometric analysis of publications related to smart museums. A search was conducted in the Web of Science (WoS) database on January 28, 2025, using the keyword "smart museum." A total of 67 relevant publications published between 2014 and 2024 were identified. Bibliometric indicators such as the most frequently used keywords in studies on smart museums, temporal development trends, the most cited publications, authors, and the most productive countries were analyzed. According to the findings, the most frequently used keywords are smart museum, Internet of Things, and cultural heritage. The most productive countries are China and the United States. It is expected that the findings of this study will reveal the current status of studies on smart museums and guide research in the field of tourism.
