Evaluation process

• Articles submitted to our journal are first subjected to a preliminary evaluation in terms of compliance with the journal principles. Manuscripts that do not fall within the scope of the journal or that do not comply with a scientific writing format in terms of content and form requirements are rejected or some changes may be requested without initiating the peer-reviewing process. Academic impartiality and scientific quality are the most important criteria in the evaluation of articles submitted for publication.
• Articles submitted in accordance with the publication rules are sent for evaluation to two reviewers who are well-known for their work in that field. TURK-JES Journal uses a double-blind peer-reviewing system where the names of the reviewers and authors are kept confidential at every stage of the process. Reviewer reports are kept for five years. If one of the two reviewers evaluating the article gives a positive report and the other gives a negative report, the article is sent to the third reviewer or the Editorial Board examines the reviewer reports and makes the final decision.
• In the studies sent to our journal, the authors take into account the criticism and suggestions of the reviewers and the Editorial Board. If there are issues that authors do not agree with, they have the right to appeal with their reasons. During the peer-reviewing process in the journal, science people with doctorate degree or higher academic titles can be reviewers.
• The peer-review evaluation process of our journal can sometimes take a long time due to undesirable reasons. Normally, the pre-evaluation phase by the editor is one week; the reviewer evaluation process is planned as 6-10 weeks. However, due to the lack of a timely return from the reviewers, it is possible to re-appoint a reviewer, etc. Due to the reasons, the peer-review evaluation process may take longer.
• Author / authors who submit articles to TURK-JES are deemed to have accepted the journal's peer-review evaluation conditions and process.
•The copyright of the articles (accepted) decided to be published in TURK-JES are deemed to have been transferred to Fırat University.
