Turkish Journal of Forest Science (TJFS), founded in 2017, is an international peer-reviewed open access scientific journal published by the Faculty of Forestry of Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University. The journal operates under a continuous publication model. TJFS currently accepts manuscripts in both English and Turkish; however, starting from January 1, 2027, the journal will publish articles only in English. TJFS aims to contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge in forestry and forest-related disciplines and publishes original research articles and reviews. The journal provides an academic publishing platform for scientific studies conducted in the fields of forestry, forest industrial engineering, landscape architecture, and wildlife ecology.
The scope of the journal includes research related to forest ecosystems and forest resources, including forest ecology, silviculture, forest management, forest protection, forest soils and hydrology, forest biometrics, and the interactions between forest ecosystems and climate change. In addition, studies conducted in the field of forest industrial engineering, including forest products chemistry and technology, wood mechanics and technology, forest biology and wood protection technology, and forest industry machinery and management, are also considered within the scope of the journal. Research in landscape architecture, particularly those related to landscape planning and design, landscape techniques, and plant materials and cultivation, are also published. Furthermore, studies on wildlife ecology and management, biodiversity conservation, and ecosystem sustainability are included within the scope of the journal.
