Aim: Turkish Journal of Social Work Research aims to strengthen the scientific foundations of the social work discipline and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices. Our journal seeks to build a bridge between academia and practitioners in the field regarding the production, dissemination, and application of scientific knowledge for solving social problems.
In this direction, our journal’s primary mission is to publish high-quality and original studies that:
- Strengthen the relationship between social work theory and practice,
- Offer innovative solutions to social problems (poverty, discrimination, migration, violence, etc.) at both national and global levels,
- Provide data for the formulation and development of social policies,
- Develop models aimed at improving the welfare of disadvantaged groups.
Scope: Turkish Journal of Social Work Research covers interdisciplinary studies in social sciences that focus on human welfare and social problems, with a primary focus on the discipline of social work. Our journal accepts theoretical analyses, quantitative and qualitative research, mixed-method studies, comprehensive literature reviews, and case reports.
