Turkish Journal of Social Work Research is an international refereed journal. The journal publishes research that aims to support the development of knowledge and inform social work practice. The journal, which has a vision to contribute to the development of the field of social work in Turkey, includes studies that aim to provide information about the problems and problems that social work is interested in, such as social work research, evaluation studies, various research studies.
Plagiarism Monitoring Policy
The articles submitted to the Turkish Journal of Social Work Research are monitored with Turnitin, a plagiarism monitoring programme. Articles with plagiarism will be rejected immediately.
Article Evaluation Policy
The practice of manuscript evaluation is simply to ensure that good work is published. This objective process is at the heart of publishing a good scientific paper and is carried out by all reputable journals. Our reviewers play an important role in ensuring high standards of scholarship and all manuscripts submitted to our journal are assessed through the following process.
Initial evaluation: The editor evaluates all manuscripts. It is very rare that exceptionally good manuscripts are accepted in this process. Articles that are insufficiently original, have poor language, contain serious scientific errors, and are outside the scope and purpose of our journal are rejected. Manuscripts that meet the minimum criteria are passed to the second process in which two referees evaluate the manuscript.
Manuscript Evaluation Method. Manuscripts are blindly evaluated in a process in which the identity of the referee and the author remains confidential.
How to Select a Referee? If possible, the articles sent to our journal are matched with the areas of expertise of the referees in our database.
Referee Reports. Referees are requested to evaluate the article in terms of the following points by filling out the Article Evaluation and Development Form: Is it original? Is the method appropriate? Are the results clearly expressed? Are appropriate references given?
In particular, an assessment of the language of the manuscript is not part of the peer review, although the referee may make such a suggestion.
How long does the evaluation take? The review period is at the discretion of the referee. The publication date of the journal and the fact that the referee does not respond to the evaluation for too long are decisive at this point.
Final Report. The referee's recommendation of acceptance, rejection or acceptance with correction is finalised as a result of the Manuscript Evaluation and Development Form to be filled in the system.
