Digital Transformation of Education in Turkey in Society 5.0

Abstract

In the process of transition from information society to smart society, digitalization has been mentioned in every phase of life. In this new digital age, with the realization of the effects of technological changes on human life, it has become inevitable to experience significant transformations in educational environments. In this study, in the process of transition to society 5.0, the concept of digital transformation in education is researched, the transformation in the Education 1.0 to Education 4.0 is mentioned, applications which are related to digital transformation is examined, studies and applications about digital transformation in formal and informal education in Turkey are presented. Moreover, during Coronavirus pandemic, educational applications in Turkey are introduced and their impact on the digital transformation in education were discussed. To examine the tools and strategies which are used during digital transformation in education and present best applications and samples will be guiding to reach the goals of the digital transformation in education in Turkey.

Toplum 5.0 Sürecinde Türkiye’de Eğitimde Dijital Dönüşüm

Öz

Bilgi toplumundan akıllı topluma geçişin konuşulduğu bu günlerde, hayatın her safhasında gerçekleşen dijitalleşmeden bahsedilmektedir. Bu yeni dijital çağda, günlük hayatımızdaki teknolojik değişimlerin insan hayatı üzerindeki etkilerinin farkına varılmasıyla beraber, eğitim ortamlarında da önemli dönüşümlerin yaşanması kaçınılmaz hâle gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada toplum 5.0’a geçiş sürecinde eğitimde dijitalleşmeden bahsedilmiş, Eğitim 1.0’dan 4.0’a eğitimde dönüşüme değinilmiş, dijital dönüşümle ilgili uygulamalar incelenmiş, Türkiye’de formal ve informal düzeyde dijital dönüşüm kapsamındaki çalışma ve uygulamalar sunulmuştur. Aynı zamanda tüm dünyayı etkisi altına alan pandemi sürecinde Türkiye’de eğitimde yapılan uygulamalar ortaya konulmuş ve eğitimde dijital dönüşüme olan etkileri tartışılmıştır. Dijitalleşmenin ön planda tutulduğu bu günlerde, eğitimde dijitalleşme sürecinde araç ve yöntemlerin incelenmesi, konuyla ilgili yapılan uygulama ve örneklerin bir araya getirilmesi, Türkiye’de eğitimde dijital dönüşüm konusundaki hedeflerin gerçekleştirilmesi açısından yol gösterici olacaktır.
