Zaza language is one of the two languages constructing Zaza-Gorani branch of northwestern Iranian languages. Autochthonous region in which people speaking Zaza language live consists of the provinces of Adıyaman, Bingöl, Bitlis, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Erzincan, Erzurum, Muş, Sivas, Siirt, Şanlıurfa, Tunceli located in the east of Turkey. The data used in this descriptive research aiming to figure out the daily life usage of Zaza language, which is a minority language, has been obtained from the structured and in-depth interviews conducted in 2021 with 20 women and 20 men living in Diyarbakir. As a result of the research, it is seen that, in the last few decades, while Zaza language has been transforming into a language spoken inside the family by subordination, by primaryizating in personal and social life Turkish transformed into one of the components of collective and personal existence of Zaza community.
