Acts of sexual violence can affect all individuals, regardless of gender, age, etc. Although it is reported less frequently than in women, men can also become the subject of sexual violence. Rape, especially against adult men, is an important problem encountered in this context. However, sexual violence experienced by men are often hidden and ignored due to stereotyped beliefs and various myths about masculinity in society. This situation can reduce the help-seeking behaviors of survivors. This study aims to examine the situation of adult men who are subjected to sexual violence and rape, which is a form of this violence, through relevant literature and to discuss possible social work interventions in this regard. It is believed that the study will contribute to raising awareness about sexual violence and rape against adult men and will strengthen the social work literature in this field. There are many negative physical, psychological and social effects experienced by men who survive sexual violence due to the assault. Social workers can contribute to reducing these effects and strengthening their clients with interventions that they can plan at different levels.
