Abstract

SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT PERFORMANCE EVALUATION IN THE FURNITURE SECTOR

Year 2020, Issue: 26, 97 - 114, 13.01.2020
https://doi.org/10.18092/ulikidince.560283

Abstract

Nowadays,
organizations give importance to environmental and social factors as well as
economic factors in order to meet the needs of customers. The performance
evaluation of the chain, defined as sustainable supply chain management,
requires a holistic approach. In this context, in this study, a conceptual
framework has been developed by considering economic, environmental and social
factors in order to evaluate sustainable supply chain performance. The
conceptual framework includes both qualitative and quantitative factors. Fuzzy
Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) technique was used to calculate the relative
importance weights of the factors. Total performance level was determined by
weighted scoring method. Operational costs and environmental costs were identified
as the most important factors, and the total sustainable supply chain
management performance of the organization operating in the furniture sector
was calculated.
