Although only one closed part of Horozlu Inn, which is in the city centre of Konya, had been known before, as a result of archaeological excavation diggings and researches (after its yard being discovered) in 1970s it was proved that it had been a type of rest area which had included open and closed parts. The crown gate in the east of the closed part combined to the yard from west is extremely simple, the protruding side is decorated with the niches and mihrabiye.
The closed part is smaller than yarded part and there is a high middle-nave with a light lantern in the entrance line; this nave is cut vertically with arches carried by square legs and in this way the side places are constituted. In this part with the face stone lattice which could preserve its originality considerably, the stonecutting signs ornamented on the arches and walls are remarkable.
Although there is not a tablet illustrating the date, maker or causer on Horozlu Inn whose walls are supported with buttresses from outside, the historical records shows that it was built up by Emir (Camdar) Esed-üd-din Ruzbe, one of the Seljuk statesmen in the middle of 13th centuries.
