İşkolikler Üzerine Nitel Bir Çalışma: Bal Arısı Mı? Eşek Arısı Mı?

Abstract

Toplumumuzda değerli görülen ve çalışkanlık ile karıştırılan işkoliklik kavramı, günümüz çalışma ortamlarında giderek yaygınlaşan bir sorun olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Sanayi devrimi ile birlikte insan kaynağının önemli hale gelmesi ile çalışanların fazla çalışmaları ilk başlarda fayda sağlar gibi görünmüş olsa da; günümüzde fazla çalışma, işe karşı geliştirilen bir bağımlılık haline dönüşmüştür. Ancak oluşan bağımlılık, zaman içerisinde çalışanların ve dolayısıyla örgütün çalışma verimliliğinin ve kalitesinin düşmesine neden olmuş, faydalı görülen bağımlılık zararlı hale dönüşmeye başlamıştır. İşkolik çalışanların örgütlere fayda mı, yoksa zarar mı sağladıkları tartışılagelen bir konudur. Bu çalışma ile hem fayda mı zarar mı sağladıkları, hem de zararlı olan işkoliklerin nedenleri incelenerek öneriler geliştirilmiştir.
