Abstract
Singapore progressed rapidly with the reforms it made in the history that it emerged in the second half of the 20th century and succeeded in putting its name in the first places in the world rankings in terms of development. In this study, Singapore Education System was chosen to be examined due to its top rank in PISA results and Legatum Institute Development Index. During the review of education systems, it will be beneficial to use the data regarding the system in general, as well as to examine the education systems of other countries with a comparative perspective, without departing from the context of culture and time in which educational activities take place. In this study, literature review technique was used as one of the qualitative research methods. According the findings, in the Singapore Education system, which is structurally central, there are some autonomy in education programs, practices and financing. In Singapore, where the best students are selected as a teaching profession, the professional progress/promotion of teachers has been clearly planned. The suggestion is to improve the social status of teaching profession as in Singapore and to choose and train willing students to become teachers.
