Aim & Scope
The Journal of International History Researches is a journal that has been established as a historical journal, but publishes articles about History from all areas of the Social Sciences. In this context, it publishes original scientific articles, translations, translation-articles, interviews, books, articles, symposiums, panels and other scientific activities and necrology texts. In addition, proceedings of the symposium may also be published, provided that the place, meeting and date in which it was presented are recorded and not published anywhere. However, the author is responsible for any problems that may arise from this publication activity.
The Journal of International History Researches is an international peer-viewed journal and is published twice a year. Special or additional numbers may also be published if necessary. Articles submitted to The Journal of International History Researches must not have been previously published anywhere and no other publication should be in the process of evaluating the publication at the time they were added to the system.
Author Guidelines
1. Beginning of the article starts with the Turkish “summary” which is at least 80 words but no more than 150 words. Then, the English “abstract” continues. Additionally, keywords, which are both in Turkish and English with five words with a Turkish and English title, must be included.
2. For references in articles, one of the CMS, MLA or APA systems can be used in accordance with the authors ' preferences and maintaining integrity in the text.
3. At the end of the text, list of the sources used in the article is given under the heading bibliography. This bibliography, which lists the references used in the study, is prepared according to the order of the author's surname and alphabetically.
4. Articles has not been given header, footer and page number.
5. For spelling and punctuation, the spelling and spelling guide of the Turkish Language Society is based, except for differences that relate to the content of the text.
6. The page-setting of the articles to be added to the system must be made by the author and in accordance with the following values:
- Microsoft Word
- Paper Size: A4 vertical
- Top Margin: 3 cm
- Bottom Margin: 3 cm
- Left Margin: 3 cm
- Right Margin: 3 cm
- Type font: Palatino Linotype
- Type size: Title (14 points with bold), English title (10 points with bold), sub-heading (12 points with bold), text (12 points), summary (10 points), footnote (10 points)
- Paragraph Spacing: before 6 pts, after 0 pts, footnotes before and after 0 pts.
- Indent: First line in text 1.25 cm; no indentation in footnotes
- Row Pitch: Single in text and footnotes
7. Articles which do not comply with the principles of publication of the Journal of International History Researches in anyway are not considered.
Ethical Principles and Publication Policy
Guidelines and policies prepared by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) are taken into account in the evaluation and publication processes of the studies reaching the Journal of International History Researches.

Erciyes Üniversitesi Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi Tarih Bölümü’nde Lisans Eğitimimi (2002); Gazi Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Ortaçağ Anabilim Dalında Yüksek Lisans ve Doktora Eğitimimi tamamladım (2015). 2010-2011 yılları arasında MEB DGM Suriye, Şam’da Ma’had el-Ecânib’de Arapça; 2018 yılında İran, Tahran’da Allâme-i Tabatabâi Üniversitesinde Farsça dil eğitimi aldım. Alanım ile ilgili saha çalışmasına önem vermekteyim ve bu sebepten Memlûk coğrafyasında (Anadolu’da Malatya’ya kadar olan saha) yerinde incelemelerde bulundum. Vakıflar ile ilgili şehir tarihi çalışmalarımın yanında GESOM nedeniyle çocuk oyunları üzerine de araştırmalar yapıyorum. Bunun haricinde halen Memlûk tarihi ve Furûsiyye konusu üzerine çalışıyorum.
İlkokulu, orta ve lise tahsilini Kayseri’de tamamladı. Yüksek tahsilini Kayseri-Erciyes Üniversitesi’nde tamamlayarak 1980 tarihinde mezun oldu. İlk öğretmenliğe 1983 tarihinde Kars ili Selim Lisesi’nde stajyer olarak başladı. 1986 tarihinde Kayseri’nin Tomarza İlçesi'nde, 1988 tarihinde ise yine Kayseri'nin Hacılar ilçesinde öğretmenliğe devam etti. 1989 tarihinde Erciyes Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü’nde yüksek lisansa başladı. Yüksek lisansı “İslâm Savaş Esasları ve Bunun Birleşmiş Milletler Esaslarına Yansıması”çalışması ile tamamladı. 1992 tarihinde Erciyes Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü’nde doktora programına başladı. 1996 tarihinde doktorasını "1876-1918 Yılları arası Ortadoğu ve Halep" isimli tezi ile tamamladı. Doktoradan bir müddet sonra Gazi Üniversitesi Kırşehir Eğitim Fakültesi Tarih Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı’nda Yardımcı Doçent olarak göreve başladı. 2007 Öğretim yılına kadar görevini Eğitim Fakültesi Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalı’nda sürdürdü. 2007-2008 öğretim yılından itibaren kadrosu Eğitim Fakültesi’nde kalmak şartı ile Ahi Evran Üniversitesi Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi Tarih Bölümü’nde göreve başladı. 23 Ekim 2019 tarihinde doçentliği alınca Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi Tarih Bölümü’ne kadrolu olarak ataması yapıldı ve hâlen Tarih Bölümü Yakın Çağ Ana Bilim Dalı’nda görevini sürdürmektedir.
Ümüt AKAGÜNDÜZ, 1982 yılında doğdu. 2005’te Ankara Üniversitesi Dil ve Tarih-Coğrafya Fakültesi Tarih bölümünden mezun oldu. 2008’de Ankara Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsünde “Yeni Ufuklar Dergisi Perspektifinde Türkiye’de Düşünce Hayatı (1952-1965)" adlı çalışmasıyla yüksek lisans eğitimini başarıya ulaştırdı. 2012’de "II. Meşrutiyet Dönemi Düşünce ve Kadın Dergilerinde Kadın Tartışmaları (1908-1918)" adlı çalışmasıyla doktora eğitimini tamamlayan Akagündüz, 2007-2019 yılları arasında Ankara Üniversitesi'nde öğretim elemanı ve üyesi olarak çalıştı. 2018’de "Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Tarihi" alanında doçent unvanını alan Akagündüz, 2021’de Nafi Atuf Kansu Eğitbilim Araştırmaları ödülünü kazandı. Toplumsal tarih, eğitim tarihi, kadın hareketi ve düşünce tarihi üzerine çalışan Akagündüz “II. Meşrutiyet Döneminde Kadın Olmak”, “Mikro Tarihin Gözünden 1924” adlı kitaplarla “Talim ve Terbiye Derslerinde Usul” adlı bir kitap çevirisine sahiptir. Ulusal, Uluslararası dergilerde yayımlanmış pek çok bilimsel makalesi bulunan Akagündüz, halen Ahi Evran Üniversitesi Tarih Bölümünde öğretim üyesidir. Aynı zamanda evli ve bir kız babasıdır.
