Self-compassion entails being warm and having an understanding toward ourselves when we suffer or feel inadequate, rather than ignoring our pain or flagellating ourselves with self-criticism. The study aims to determine the individual and organizational antecedents that may affect the employees' self-compassion in the workplace and reveal other employees' possible reactions. In the study, in which the qualitative research method is preferred, in-depth interviews are conducted with the study group, and the reactions of other people in the work environment are evaluated, as well as some individual/organizational antecedents that formed the basis for self-compassion. It is believed that the research findings would enrich the theoretical framework of self-compassion, which is the subject of few studies in the field of organizational behavior and contribute to the national literature as it is the first qualitative study investigating self-compassion feelings of people in the workplace.
