Abstract
Digitalization is a process that brings about important developments that affect individual and social life. On the other hand, one of the areas where digitalization is effective is undoubtedly the field of management and organization. Digitalization has become a phenomenon that affects the understanding, structure, and functioning of organizations in every sector and size. Digital applications are an indispensable need for organizations to survive today. In the study, a qualitative research method is used in order to examine the connotation, areas, advantages, disadvantages, opportunities, threats, and future of the digitalization phenomenon in management. Within the framework of the determined purpose, interviews are conducted with a total of 11 people, including academic and administrative staff working in a higher education institution. The findings of the study are evaluated under 7 top themes and 26 sub-themes. It is concluded that digitalization in management takes place in all sectors and management levels, its advantages and opportunities are greater than its disadvantages and threats, it would become more widespread in the future, and public, private, non-governmental organizations and managers should adapt themselves to the process.
