In the study, the textbook “İşletme Organizasyonu ve Sevku İdaresi (Business Organization and Administration)” by Mehmet Oluç which was published in 1959, and the second edition of the same book published in 1963 under the title of “İşletme Organizasyonu ve Yönetimi (Business Organization and Management)”, are reviewed in the context of “text simplification”. The study reveals that in the time of influential American business and management knowledge in Turkey in the 1950s, the issue of “the simplification of the language used in management education” emerged. At this point, it is important to determine the factors that have changed the linguistic phenomena of business and management field in Turkey as in those two books of Oluç, there are important clues about both the increasing interest in management as of the date of publication and the reflections of language simplification on business and management field. Document analysis method was used in the study. Accordingly, the books are examined in terms of total words and chapters. Then, the changes in the contents are compared. The changes of the words/concepts used in the 1950s in the field of business and management education in the 1960s, are tabulated in the context of the books examined. There are significant differences in terms of language simplification between the first and second editions of Oluç’s book. As a result of the text simplification in the books, it is found that both linguistic phenomena in the content and the concepts used in business and management literature are changed.
