Competitiveness is considered as a personality factor that can affect how individuals behave in their personal and professional lives. The Revised Competitiveness Index consisted of 14 items is a widely used measure developed to measure the competitiveness seen as stable personality trait. The study aims to adapt the Revised Competition Index to Turkish. The Revised Competitiveness Index was first translated into Turkish by experts and then translated back into the source language to determine the suitability of the translation and the Turkish form took its final shape. The construct validity, internal consistency and corrected item correlations of this Turkish scale applied to 430 university students are examined. As a result of factor and reliability analysis, 3 statements are taken from the scale. Thus, a two-dimensional structure, such as Enjoyment of Competition and Avoiding of Contention (cronbach alpha: 0.936 and 0.807), is achieved in accordance with the original of the scale. As a result of the study, it is determined that the Individual Competitiveness Scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool suitable for Turkish culture.
