Today, people can learn about political issues from many sources through new media. Opinion leaders played an active role in political preferences in the times when the communication tools were more limited. However, in today's communication environments, it is wondered from which political information sources people are affected by their vote preferences. The purpose of the study is to determine which tools voters use as sources of political information and which of these tools affect their political voting preferences. It is important to determine whether opinion leaders still maintain their effectiveness with today's advanced communication tools and to determine which tools people prefer in voting translations. As a result of the study, it can be concluded that opinion leaders do not lose their effectiveness in political preferences, but it can be said that social media, which is one of the new media tools, causes a change in the information sources of people.
