Life Skills Journal of Psychology, is a peer-reviewed academic journal that includes original research in Turkish and English in the fields of psychiatry, psychology, psychological counseling and guidance, social work, psychiatric nursing, child development, preschool education and special education. Life Skills Journal of Psychology, is published twice a year, in June and December. However, special issues can also be published if necessary. Life Skills Journal of Psychology, accepts articles such as research articles, case reports, reviews, systematic reviews and meta-analysis. Studies presented at conferences and congresses but whose full text has not been published in the congress book are also accepted. In these studies, the name of the conference and congress where the presentation took place, the place and date of the presentation should be stated as a footnote at the bottom of the first page of the article. If the work to be submitted is produced from a master's or doctoral thesis, this detail should be stated by the author in the footnote section at the bottom of the first page of the article. Life Skills Journal of Psychology, is an open access journal. It has adopted the principle of sharing scientific works with academicians, students and the public free of charge. It supports the Budapest Open Access Initiative. Readers can access the articles published in the journal free of charge.
The works sent to the Life Skills Journal of Psychology must not have been previously published or sent for publication in any journal. The author is responsible for ensuring this sensitivity. After the article is published, it is removed from publication when it is understood that it has been sent to other journals. In this case, the responsibility for any ethical violation that may arise belongs to the author. No fee is paid to the authors and referees for the articles published in the Life Skills Journal of Psychology. Life Skills Journal of Psychology, is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. Therefore, the copyrights of the published works belong to the author. The first publication right belongs to the journal. All responsibilities of the works published in the Life Skills Journal of Psychology belong to the author. Articles evaluated in the Life Skills Journal of Psychology are first examined by the editorial board in terms of scientific content and compliance with ethical standards. Similarity checking and plagiarism checking of submitted articles are done with the Turnitin program. Articles with a similarity rate above 15% and those found to be plagiarized are rejected immediately. In the editorial review, it is evaluated whether the article has certain characteristics such as its scientific originality, the hypotheses it puts forward, consistency, testability and reproducibility, its contribution to the field and whether the method is sufficient. In addition, it is checked whether a relationship can be found between the variables included in the research and whether the article is written in accordance with the journal writing rules and APA 7 format. At this stage, statistical methods are checked. It is examined whether the article has been published somewhere before. If it is produced from any thesis, it is evaluated whether this situation is reported as a footnote. If it is presented at any congress, it is evaluated whether this situation is reported as a footnote. If it is presented at the congress, it is investigated whether its full text has been published in the congress book. Finally, bibliography is checked. At the end of all checks, articles deemed appropriate are sent to referees who are experts in their fields. Articles that successfully pass the editorial process are sent to two referees who are experts in their field. The journal works with a double-blind referee system in article evaluation. The author does not know who the referee who evaluated his article is, and the referee does not know who the author whose article he is evaluating is. The editor is responsible for ensuring this confidentiality. The article is published after both referees give positive opinions. If one of the referees gives a negative opinion and the other gives a positive opinion, the article is sent to a third referee. Articles whose refereeing process has been completed are published under the early view title. Articles submitted to the Life Skills Journal of Psychology must use the American Psychological Association (APA) 7 style in in-text referencing, table display and bibliography. In order for the study to be evaluated, the similarity rate must be below 15%, excluding abstract and bibliography. Authors who will submit research and case report articles must include information about ethics committee permissions in the article and add the ethics committee approval form to the last page of the article. Authors are required to upload the similarity report regarding their articles to the system during submission. Authors will prepare the similarity report, which will be received from the Turnitin program, by paying attention to the following points (Remove matches: Less than 4 words will be marked, the bibliography will be excluded, quotation marks will be included, and finally the "no repository" option will be selected. Authors who want to submit articles to the Life Skills Journal of Psychology must log in to the Dergipark system after editing their articles according to the writing rules of the journal. Then they must submit the publication from the submit article tab. Manuscripts that are not sent in accordance with the template in terms of format will not be evaluated in any way.
