Review Process

Yıldız Educational Research Journal ensures that selected articles undergo a fair, double-blind peer review process. Submitted articles are initially subject to a pre-evaluation before the review process begins. This pre-evaluation ensures that the manuscript adheres to the journal's formatting guidelines and that all required documents have been submitted. The relevant guidelines for this pre-evaluation are provided on the Instructions for Authors page.

Articles that pass the pre-evaluation are forwarded to the Chief Editor. The Chief Editor then conducts an initial scientific assessment of the manuscript before assigning it to a section editor.

The section editor seeks feedback from at least two reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. If deemed necessary, the ethics and statistics editors will also be consulted. If one of the two assigned reviewers provides a positive recommendation and the other a negative one, a third reviewer will be appointed.

Based on the feedback from the reviewers, the Chief Editor and the section editor will make a joint decision regarding the acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript.

Authors are required to address the revision requests and upload the revised manuscript files to the system. These updated files will then be sent for peer review. The final decision will be made by the Editor-in-Chief and section editor, based on the reviewers' feedback.

Once a manuscript is accepted for publication, it will be forwarded to the publisher for the typesetting process. The publisher will send the PDF proof of the accepted manuscript to the corresponding author and requests the publication approval within 2 days of receiving the proof.
