ANASINIFINA DEVAM EDEN 60-72 AYLIK ÇOCUKLARIN MATEMATİK GELİŞİMLERİNİN BAZI DEĞİŞKENLER AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Bu çalışma okul öncesi eğitim kurumuna devam eden çocuklarının matematik gelişimlerini bazı değişkenler açısından değerlendirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma Ankara’da Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı, bağımsız anaokullarına devam eden 60-72 aylar arasında olan 323 çocuk üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Çocukların matematik gelişimleri Matematik Gelişimi 6 Testi (Progress in Math) ile ölçülmüştür. Yapılan istatistikler sonucunda çocukların matematik gelişiminde cinsiyetler arasında fark bulunmazken daha önce bir eğitim kurumuna gitme, anne-baba eğitim düzeyi ve ailenin ekonomik düzeyi arasında önemli farklar bulunmuştur.

A Study Into The Mathematical Development Of Children At The Age Of 60-72 Months Attending To A Kindergarten In Terms Of Some Variables

Abstract

The current study was carried out to determine the mathematical progression of children attending to a kindergarten in terms of some variables. The research was conducted over 323 children at the ages of 60-72 months attending to an independent kindergarten acting under the Ministry of Education in Ankara. Mathematical progression of children was assessed through Progress in Math 6 Test. At the end of the statistical studies, no significant difference was found between the genders in the mathematical progression of children, while significant differences was found between the items of attending to another educational institution beforehand, parents’ educational status and economic level of the family.
