The results of in vitro fertilization after ectopic pregnancy treatment (laparoscopic salpingostomy and systemic methotrexate)

Abstract

The Results of In vitrofertilization after Ectopic Pregnancy Treatment (Laparoscopic salpingostomy and systemic Methotrexate) Aim: The aim ofthis study was to compare the in vitrofertilization outcomes following surgical and single dose methotrexate treatment for tubal ectopic pregnancy. Materials and Methods: This study was included 14 patients with ectopic pregnancy treated by laparoscopic salpingostomy and 8 patients with ectopic pregnancy treated by 50 mg/m2 single dose methotrexate. All patients were treated with gonadotropins for ovulation induction. SPSS for Windows 13.0 was used for statistical analysis. Results: The group 1 and group 2 had similar pregnancy rates (28.6 % vs. 37.5 %, P=0.66). There were no statistically significant differences in both groups in terms of pregnancy resulted by in vitrofertilization. Conclusion: The pregnancy rate was similar in both groups treated by in vitro fertilization.

Ektopik gebelik tedavisi sonrasında (laparoskopik salpingostomi ve sistemik methotrexate) in vitro fertilizasyon başarısı

Öz

Amaç: Laparoskopik salpingostomi ve sistemik tek doz Methotrexate uygulanan hastaların ovarian stimulasyona verdikleri cevabın araştırılması. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışma ektopik gebelik tanısı ile laparoskopik salpingostomi uygulanan 14 hasta (Grup 1 ) ve 50 mg/m2, sistemik, tek doz Methotrexate uygulanan 8 hastayı (Grup 2) kapsamaktadır. Bu grup hastalarda İn vitro fertilizasyon (IVF) sonrası gebelik başarısı araştırıldı. İn Vitro Fertilizasyon planlanan tüm hastalara long protokol planlandı. Embriyonal gelişim takibi yapılarak hastalara 3. veya 5. günde embriyo transfer edildi. Transfer edilen embriyo sayısı, hastanın yaşı ve fertilite durumu göz önünde bulundurularak karar verildi. İstatistiksel analiz için, SPSS for Windows 13.0 paket programı kullanıldı. Bulgular: Hastaların IVF sonrası gebelik başarısının değerlendirildiğinde, Grup 1 de % 28,6 iken (4/14), Grup 2 de % 37,5 (3/8) olarak saptanmıştır. Her iki grup arasında IVF gebelik başarısı arasında anlamlı fark saptanmamıştır (p=0,66). Sonuç: Bizim çalışmamızda ise IVF sonrası gebelik başarısı laparoskopik salpingostomi ve sistemik tek doz methotrexate uygulanan hasta grubu arasında farklılık bulunmadı.
