Abstract
Summary: Prenatal diagnosis of nuchal cystic hygroma We present the diagnosis ,prognostic factors and genetic consequences of cystic hygroma. When cystic hygroma is detected antenatally the prognosis is usually poor; intrauterine and neonatal death is common. In our case we found a cystic hygroma in 15 week of gestation with polydactily and oligohydramnios.Cystic hygroma frequently occur as a manifestation of a variety of genetic syndrome .We studied the karyotype by amniocentesis . After that because of nonwell-being of fetus ,we consider to terminate the pregnancy. Conclusion: Once a cystic hygroma is detected by an ultrasonography, should be followed by a careful search for other anomalies and amniocentesis should be attempt for fetal karyotyping.

Abstract
Amaç: Kistik higromanın prenatal tanısının ve prognozunun belirlenmesinin önemi Olgu: Olgumuzda gebeliğin 15. Haftasında yapılan sonografık görüntülemede kistik higroma malformasyonu ve beraberinde polidaktili ve oligohidroamnios saptandı. Kistik higroma sık olarak genetik sendromlarla birlikte görüldüğünden amniosentezle karyotip tayini ve sonrasında fetal prognoz olunsuz olarak değerlendirildiğinden gebelik terminasyonu yapıldı. Sonuç: Prenatal tanısı, saptanan prognostik faktörler (kromozomal anomali, yapısal anomali, hidrops fetalis) ve kistin yapısal özellikleri (septasyon varlığı) fetusun prognozunu belirler. Hidrops ve oligohidramnios varlığında sonuçlar ölümcüldür. Hafıf formlarda ise doğum sağlanabilir ve cerrahi müdahale yapılabilir. Kistik higroma için ortalama sağkalım oranı %10 'dur.
