Su Ürünleri Yetiştiriciliği Doğal Balık Stokları İlişkisi

Abstract

Son 25 yılda, dünyadaki kültür balığı ve kabuklu su canlılarının üretimi yaklaşık 3 misli artış göstermiştir. Bu durum insanların, böylesine bir büyümenin avcılığın doğal stoklar üzerinde oluşturduğu baskıyı azaltacağını düşünmesine neden olmu , yaşam alanlarının tahrip edilmesi, doğadan yavru yakalanması gibi ekolojik etkileri sonucu doğal stoklara zarar verdiği bilinmektedir. Tüm dünyadaki su ürünleri yetiştiriciliği sektörünün bu büyümeyi sürdürülebilir bir şekilde devam ettirebilmesi için, doğadan yakalanan balıkların yem olarak kullanılmasına bir son vermesi ve daha ekolojik yönetim yaklaşımları getirmesi gerekmektedir
