PORTFÖY ÇALIŞMA VE DEĞİŞEN KARİYER DAVRANIŞLARI: FREELANCE ÇALIŞANLARIN DENEYİMLERİ ÜZERİNDEN DEĞERLENDİRME

Öz

Bu çalışma, esnek
çalışma biçimi olarak yükselişe geçen portföy çalışmayı ve değişen kariyer davranışlarını,
freelance çalışanların bireysel deneyimleri üzerinden keşfetmeyi amaçlamaktadır.
Esnek istihdam, girişimcilik ve bilgi hizmetlerine vurgu yapılarak nitelendirilen
portföy çalışma, özellikle yeni kendi hesabına çalışmanın yükselişiyle giderek yaygınlaşmaktadır.
Aynı zamanda değişen çalışma biçimlerine bağlı olarak, örgütsel kariyer
yaklaşımlarından “sınırsız”, çalışanın kendi kariyer sürecini kendisinin
yönettiği birey temelli kariyer yaklaşımlarına doğru bir eğilim ortaya
çıkmaktadır. Araştırma, basın alanında freelance çalışan 20 kişiyi kapsayan
nitel bir çalışmadan elde edilen verilere dayanmaktadır.
Freelance
çalışanların portföy çalışma deneyimlerini ve portföy kariyer davranışlarını
keşfetmek
için yarı
yapılandırılmış sorularla derinlemesine görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada,
portföy çalışmanın göreceli bağımsız ve yapılan iş üzerinde işgörenin kontrolünün
daha fazla ve tatmin edici bir deneyim olduğu sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca
başarılı bir portföy kariyer sürecinde,
yapılan işin niteliği kadar müşteriler ile
kurulan iletişimin niteliği ve istikrarının önemli faktör olduğu tespit
edilmiştir
