The role conflict that the employees feel in a busy schedule might cause them to feel guilty by not performing many duties and responsibilities related to the job. Employees’ ability to control these negative emotions and thoughts can increase their performance by increasing their motivation. For this reason, this research examined the concept of job insecurity as a "psychological reaction". In this context, the role conflict perceived by the employees may cause them to feel job insecurity. The ability to control employees’ emotions and thoughts (self-control) may be affected the job insecurity (affective) that they feel with the perception of role conflict because role conflict related to a cognitive (mental) ability can cause emotional responses (affective job insecurity) when not managed well. The main problem of the research is whether self-control has a moderating role on the effect of role conflict on affective job insecurity. Accordingly, this research aims to examine moderating role of self-control on the effect of role conflict on affective job insecurity.
