Cesaret Türleri

Öz

Cesaret, felsefe, psikoloji, sosyoloji ve işletme dahil olmak üzere çeşitli akademik disiplinlerde araştırılan bir kavram olmuştur. Bu çalışma, literatürde farklı disiplinlerdeki çalışmalarda tanımlanan farklı cesaret türlerini tespi etmeyi ve sentezlemeyi, cesaretin nasıl kavramsallaştırıldığını, kategorize edildiğini ve farklı bağlamlarda uygulamaya geçirildiğini açıklığa kavuşturmaya çalışmaktadır. Spesifik olarak cevabı aranan sorular şunlardır: Cesaret türleri nelerdir? Farklı cesaret türleri nasıl tanımlanıyor? Cesaret türleri tarihsel süreçte filozoflarca ortaya konulan cesaret türleri ve günümüze yakın dönemlerde cesaret üzerine çalışma yapan araştırmacılar tarafından ortaya konan cesaret türleri olarak iki kategoride incelenmiştir. Bu kapsamda, dokuz filozof (Konfüçyüs, Mengzi, Giles of Rome, Hannah Arendt, Paul Tillich, François Noël, Miskavih, İsfahânî, İbn Sînâ) ve 18 araştırmacının tespitlerine yer verilmiştir. 18 araştırma kapsamında detaylı olarak incelenen cesaret türleri sırasıyla şu şekildedir; ahlaki cesaret, fiziksel cesaret, psikolojik cesaret, sosyal cesaret, entelektüel cesaret, yaşamsal cesaret, duygusal cesaret, manevi cesaret, genel cesaret, yaratıcı cesaret, doğal cesaret, merak cesareti, kişisel cesaret, süreç cesareti, disiplin cesareti, empatik cesaret, övgü cesareti, ifade cesareti, kişilerarası cesaret. Mevcut literatürü analiz ve sentezleyen bu çalışma, cesaretin insan varoluşundaki hayati rolünün daha derin, daha incelikli bir şekilde anlaşılmasına katkıda bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca, cesaret türlerinin, çeşitlerinin tek bir araştırma çatısı altında toplayarak, bundan sonra cesaret üzerine çalışma yapacak araştırmacılara bir başlangıç zemini hazırlamaya katkı sağlamaktadır.
