Psikiyatride “zorunlu yatışlar”

Öz

“Zorunlu yatış” terimi bireyleri iradeleri dışında hastaneye yatırmak ve orada tutmak anlamına gelmektedir. “Zorla tedavi” terimi ise, hastalık durumunu ve tedavi görmesi gerektiğini kabul etmeyen, bu konuda onam verecek durumda olmayan bireylerde başvurulan tedavi uygulama şeklidir. Ruhsal rahatsızlıkları olan bireyleri zorunlu olarak hastaneye yatırmak önemli hukuki ve etik boyutu olan bir konudur. Bu yazıda farklı ülkelerdeki zorunlu yatış uygulamalarına ve ülkemizdeki bu konudaki gelişmelere yer verilmiştir.

“Compulsory hospitalization” in psychiatry

Öz

“Compulsory hospitalization” means hospitalizing individuals and keeping them in the hospital without their consent. “Compulsory treatment” is a form of treatment applied to individuals who do not accept their illness and are unable to assess their need for treatment, and therefore uncapable of giving informed consent in this regard. İt is an important legal and ethical matter to obligate individuals with mental disorders to be hospitalized. This article includes compulsory hospitalization proceedings and conditions in different countries and the developments in our country.
