Öz

Çevresel asfiksi ve kapalı alanda mahsur kalmaya bağlı asfiktik ölümler nadir görülmektedir. Literatürde genellikle tek ya da iki kişinin sanayi tipi buzdolabında mahsur kalması sonucu ölüm olguları bildirilmiştir. Ancak, literatürde şimdiye kadar tek sanayi tipi buzdolabında mahsur kalma sonucu ölen çoklu ölüm olgusu sunulmamıştır. Bu çalışmada, sanayi tipi buzdolabı içerisinde mahsur kalma sonucu asfiksi gelişen dört çocuğun ölüm olgusu sunulmuş olup bu tür olgulara toplumun ve profesyonellerin dikkatinin çekilmesi amaçlanmıştır.

Öz

Asphyxial deaths due to environmental asphyxia and entrapment in an enclosed space are rarely seen. In the literature, there have been reports presenting asphyxial deaths of one or two individuals secondary to entrapment in industrial type refrigerator. However, to our best knowledge there is no report presenting multiple deaths due to entrapment in an industrial refrigerator. This study was aimed to present asphyxial deaths of four children due to entrapment in an industrial refrigerator, and to draw attention of public and professionals to such deaths
