Öz

A sample of 359 unrelated individuals from Turkey was studied for the red-celI adenylate kinase 1 (AK 1) polymorphism. The following ailek frequencies were observed : for AK1*1 = 0.954 ± 0.008 and AK 1*2 =
0.046 ± 0.008 x ² =0.0731 ; D.F. = 1 ; 0.7 <: p < 0.8).
