Oral surgery is one of the biggest cause of fear and anxiety for patients compared to other dental treatments. For this reason, it is very important to determine and control the anxiety levels of patients before the operation. The aim of this study is to determine the preoperative anxiety levels of patients who will have impacted mandibular third molar surgery using state and trait anxiety inventory test. Total of 100 patients, 53 female and 47 male, who applied for impacted lower third molar tooth extraction, were included in this study. As a result, it has been determined that the anxiety levels of the patients who will have impacted wisdom teeth surgery are reduced at the end of the surgery.
