Distomolar teeth may cause malposition, caries and root resorption of adjacent teeth, pericoronitis and dentigerous cysts. In this study, 8400 panoramic radiographs were examined in 4000 female and 4400 male patients who were admitted to an oral and dental health center between 2012 and 2013. The patients were between the ages of 20-60. Twenty distomolar teeth were diagnosed in 15 patients from a total of 8400 patients 0.1% . Our study found out that distomolar teeth may cause eruption disturbances of third molars. There was no pathology in periodontal tissues or in the jaw bones
