Developmental Dental Anomalies

Yıl 2012, Cilt: 6 Sayı: 2, 1212 - 1223, 01.07.2012

Öz

Developmental dental anomalies are identified as abnormalities of the number, size, eruption and morphology that occur during the formation of the teeth. In this review, radiographic and clinical characteristics of developmental dental anomalies were identified and described with such cases. The clinicians should be aware of dental anomalies that cause clinical problems such as esthetic problems, speech disorders, occlusal trauma, damage of the tongue and caries. Early diagnosis and treatment of developmental dental anomalies can prevent subsequent complications
