Öz

Adequate bone amount is important for the success of oral rehabilition in implant practice. Alveolar atrophy presents a unique challenge in implant surgery. İf the alveolar ridge has a knife-edge morphology certain surgical protocols prior to implant insertion has become and accepted treatment modality in implant dentistry. Piezoelectric surgery is a new innovating surgical technique used to perform safe and effective osteotomies using piezoelectric ultrasonic vibrations for implantology, oral surgery and maxillofacial surgery to complement traditional surgical procedures, and in some cases, replace traditional procedures. Because of its micrometric and selective cut, the piezoelectric device produces safe and precise osteotomies without any osteonecrotic damage. This device works only on mineralized tissues, sparing soft tissues and their blood supply. In this paper, a case treated with ‘split crest’ using piezosurgery at atrophic mandibular right posterior site with immediate dental implant placement is reported. Patient demonstrated a successful postoperative healing.

Posterior Mandibular Bölgede Piezoelektrikcerrahi Yöntemi Kullanılarak Split Kret Tekniği Uygulanması ve İmplant Yerleştirilmesi

Öz

İmplant uygulamalarında başarılı oral rehabilitasyon için yeterli kemik miktarı çok önemlidir. Alveolar atrofi, implant uygulamalarında büyük bir problem olarak ortaya çıkmaktadır. İmplant uygulanacak bölgedeki kret bıçak sırtı şeklindeyse implant uygulama öncesi bazı cerrahi teknikler uygulamak gerekmektedir. Piezocerrahi; oral cerrahi, implantoloji ve maksillofasiyal cerrahi için geleneksel yöntemleri tamamlamak ve bazı vakalarda geleneksel yöntemlerin yerine piezoelektrik ultrasonik titreşimler kullanarak güvenli ve etkili osteotomiler yapılmasını sağlayan nispeten yeni bir tekniktir. Mikrometrik ve seçici kesim yapabilmesinden dolayı, piezoelektrik cihazı, osteonekrotik hasarlar vermeden güvenli ve hassas bir osteotomi sağlar. Cihaz, yumuşak doku ve kan desteğini koruyarak, sadece mineralize dokular üzerinde çalışır. Bu vaka raporunda sağ mandibular bölgede yetersiz kret genişliği olan bir hastaya piezocerrahi yöntemiyle uygulanan ‘split kret’ osteomosi ve aynı anda gerçekleştirilen dental implant cerrahisi tarif edilmiştir.. Hastada operasyon sonrası komplikasyonsuz bir iyileşme elde edilmiştir
