Rehabilitation Of Bilateral Open Bite With Multiple Diastema Using Metal Ceramic Crowns: Case Report
Öz
Open bite is the lack of vertical overlap of the anterior teeth in centric occlusion. Diastema is defined as no contacts between proximal teeth. Dentofacial discrepancies negatively affect the masticatory function, speech and esthetics. In the situations that orthodontic and surgical treatments can not be applicable, it is inevitable to carry out the restorative treatments to accomplish the function and the esthetics. This clinical report presents the rehabilitation of a bilateral open bite with multiple diastema using metal ceramic restorations

Öz
Açık kapanış sentrik oklüzyonda anterior dişler arasında vertikal yönde kapanışın olmaması durumudur. Diastema ise komşu dişler arasındaki kontak eksikliği olarak tanımlanır. Dentofasiyal bölgedeki uyumsuzluk çiğneme ve konuşma fonksiyonu ile estetiği olumsuz etkiler. Ortodontik ve cerrahi tedavilerin uygulanamadığı vakalarda fonksiyonu ve estetiği tamamlamak için restoratif uygulamalar gereklidir. Bu vakada bilateral açık kapanışla birlikte diastemanın metal seramik restorasyonlarla rehabilitasyonu anlatılmaktadır
