Öz

Reactive hyperplasia lesions of oral mucosa appear by the cause of local irritant factors such as periodontal diseases, poor oral hygiene and usage of inharmonious prosthesis as well as systemic factors such as changes of blood and hormone levels. These tumour-like lesions are non-neoplastic. The aim of this case series was to evaluate clinical and radiological features of 30 reactive hyperplasias in oral mucosa. Thirty patients 20 females, 10 males with mean age of 48.2 were evaluated clinically and radiographically by two specialists of Oral Diagnosis and Radiology. After the lesions were removed by surgical excision, histopathological examination and diagnosis were performed. The lesions were classified as traumatic fibroma 9 cases , hyperplasia caused by denture 9 cases , peripheral giant cell granuloma 6 cases , pyogenic granuloma 5 cases and peripheral ossifying fibroma 1 case according to etiologic, clinic and histopathologic features

Oral Mukozanın Reaktif Hiperplazileri: Olgu Serisi

Öz

Oral mukozada izlenen reaktif hiperplazi lezyonları periodontal hastalıklar, kötü ağız hijyeni, ve uyumsuz protez kullanımı gibi lokal irritan faktörlerinin yanısıra kan ve hormon seviyelerinde oluşan değişiklikler gibi sistemik faktörlere bağlı olarak ortaya çıkmaktadır. Tümör benzeri bu lezyonlar, neoplastik değildir. Bu olgu serisinin amacı, oral mukozada görülen 30 reaktif hiperplazi olgusunun klinik ve radyolojik bulgularını değerlendirmektir. Yaş ortalaması 48.2 olan 30 hasta 20 kadın, 10 erkek iki Oral Diagnoz ve Radyoloji uzmanı tarafından klinik ve radyografik olarak değerlendirildi. Lezyonlar cerrahi eksizyonla çıkarıldıktan sonra, histopatolojik inceleme ile tanıları konuldu. Lezyonlar klinik, etiyolojik ve histopatolojik özelliklerine göre travmatik fibrom 9 olgu , protezin neden olduğu hiperplazi 9 olgu , periferal dev hücreli granülom 6 olgu , piyojenik granülom 5 olgu ve periferal ossifying fibrom 1 olgu olarak sınıflandırıldı
